Well, it's the end of Love Month...seems like a worldwide revolution going on...on all continents. On with the new and off with the old...whether one likes it or not...CaChing$$$...why is this costing me again? The U.S.'s demoralizing political bickering nauseously continues...The Sarah (R) is going to India and Jerry Springer gives The Sarah a wink...Christine O'Donnell (R) thinks she can dance...The Donald's numbers inch up for 2012...Republicans are ahead on a generic poll...Rush Limbaugh thinks that Michelle O. is a poor role model...The White House appoints it's first openly gay Social Secretary and everybody and their mother wants Gadhafi of Libya to go...Bye! Bye!
Well, I certainly didn't create this mess...I just have to live with it like everyone else...so much venom that has erupted this last month...it just seems that no matter what is going on world wide, it affects my wallet...in one way or the other...and so My Definition of Politics still reigns true..."keep the rich - rich; the poor - poor; and justify to everyone else in the middle why they have to pay for it." What is going on - I wonder???
Well, The Sarah is going to India in March. Christine O'Donnell was asked to be on Dancing with the Stars...she's undecided from what I understand...I am sure her Facebook page will keep us up to date...hey, she's been characterized on Saturday Night Live...she has a whole entertainment career carved out for herself because -"I Am Not a Witch" and"I Am You". Will The Donald throw his hat in the ring for Prez in 2012? According to a poll by Newsweek/Daily Beast...it showed the face off between Obama and him would be 43 -41...as The Donald remarks..."I am not really that surprised...because it is a message of common sense. We can have a great country again...the problem is we don't have the right leadership." Talk show icon, Rush Limbaugh continues to question the First Lady's Loyalty to her food bandwagon...apparently she did a meal of ribs in Vail...1500 calories and 141 grams of fat per serving...such pettiness...I guess the food police texted him what she ate...is it a case of do as I say not as I do? So another Love Month ends around the globe...2011...Year of the Rabbit...everyone get their rabbit's foot out...the political food fights continue...world wide....the question still remains...who but who will beat the current Big-Spender-In-Chief of the U.S.A. in the next election??? Criticize and be petty all ye may...that still remains to be the 14 trillion dollar question...CaChing$$$. The dogs bark and the caravan moves on...meanwhile why I am paying for all of the world's problems at the pump? Yes, Political Hieroglyphics just doesn't add up...
Love Month - Heart Month feels more like the infamous Valentine's Day Massacre - thus far -around the globe. Bullets Over Libya...Uproars in Bahrain...Anti-government demonstrations in Yemen...the world is inundated and saturated with Arab protests...and it's only February of a brand new year. Americans are hijacked off the coast of Somalia...and that is not to exclude Wisconsin workers protesting feverishly tooth and nail against state budget cuts...it's so bad there that the Democratic officials won't even go to their office. Governor Scott Walker of Wisconsin (R) is doing what he said he would...balance the budget...Wow! Maybe everyone ought to take up a new hobby like learning to do the Frog Dance...you know, take a breather.
Meanwhile, back at the farm, it's Michelle Bachmann (R) vs. Michelle Obama (D) over breastfeeding...of all things. Michelle O. says it helps curb childhood obesity...studies have proven that...but Michelle so does going out and playing instead of sitting in front of a computer or TV...and Michelle B. says that it is promoting a Nanny State...tax deductions and all...what's interesting about this is Michelle B. claims she breastfed all 5 of her offspring...not certain if Michelle O.did or did not...they're too old now anyway...her kids that is...and The Sarah thinks that the government shouldn't tell parents what to feed their kids. "That the First Lady cannot trust parents to make decisions for their own children, for their own families on what we should eat." Another example that this delusional regime thinks that the government is the answer to all of their problems. It's all a chick thing ya' know. Speaking of The Sarah...apparently political conservative columnist, Ann Coulter is insanely jealous of her...she is jealous of Sarah's agitation ability to ignite the Left. The Sarah and Michelle B. are still chewing their cud about running for Madame Prez or not...tax incentives and breastfeeding aside...pooooleeezzze...this show doesn't get any better than this...these political gals are far more intriguing and enlightening that any of their male counterparts...three cheers for all of these Chick Fights...it makes for superior political entertainment. I would love to see them in Nordstrom's having an old-fashioned girl fight in the lingerie department with some of their opponents. Nordstrom's would make a fortune selling tickets that day...
Now back to the boring men in politics...I cannot exclude an Italian sex scandal of deniable sorts...Ruby Ruby Won't You Be Mine? Moving right along to our super-dysfunctional health care system...what does Miami, LA, Dallas, Houston, Detroit, Chicago, Brooklyn, Tampa and Baton Rouge all have in common? Medicare fraud. Apparently in a sting operation 111 are charged in a $225 million dollar scam. I know that things aren't too rosy, but is it really that bad out there in California? Malnutrition...that's pretty morose.
And so the Love-Fest continues in the short month of February...nationally and internationally...can't you feel the love? It's interesting that no matter which way you cut/dice/splice/sliver/chop the facts...Heart Disease is still the Number 1 killer in the U.S. (http://www.cdc.gov/features/heartmonth/) Personally, I love what Louise Hay says in her famous book - You Can Heal Your Life - about anything to do with heart disease...it's lack of joy. It seems that if we could find more joy in our hearts...true joy that is...not materialistic or power-driven joy...perhaps we could home home to our senses...
In the meantime...the 24/7 World...Churns-Turns-Burns...American Political Chicks fight over breastfeeding ideology and tax deductions; another power-driven political guydenies any wrongdoing in sex scandals a la Italiano; the U.S. is bilked out of Lord knows how much in Medicare fraud; the Arab world continues to unravel...can't you feel the love? Meanwhile the dogs bark and the caravan moves on...now who? Who? Who? Who? Let the dogsout? By now, everyone and their mother knows that Mubarak has stepped down from his Egyptian Rule - finally. His Swiss Billions are frozen. He escaped to someplace where most of the Planet has never heard of...to his Castle in the Air...Somewhere Overthe Rainbow...and to top that off the U.S. has been giving the Egyptian Military more than 1.3 Billion a year. We have been giving billions to a country who had a Billionaire leader? We gave billions of dollars without knowing where it was going or how it was spent? I guess it's sitting in Swiss accounts catching a cold now. Excuse me, I've got to sneeze.
The Egyptian Military is now in charge of Egypt - for the moment. They have fired the parliament. As an armchair observer, the only thing I can say is - "U.S. - Start collecting yourmoney. Who knows what will transgress with all of this leaderless leadership." Sounds pretty flaky to me. But enough about Egypt...we need to focus on the U.S. of A. Publicizing all of this change in another part of the world is the perfect spin for not addressing our own issues. Once again, I say, U.S. - Heal Thyself. Put your oxygen mask on first and foremost.
But how can you blame Les Miserables a la Washington D.C.? All of that phony grandeur and constant gravity...all those folks trying desperately to control...control...control....yet they can't even control unemployment; foreclosures; public corruption...violent crime...etc - in their own backyard.
And to top that off, a Republican Congressman, Chris Lee, got caught with his shirt off...pandering his biceps on Craigslist...(http://gawker.com/#!5756377/craigslist-congressman-resigns)...John Boehner, the Speaker of the House wasn't too thrilled...the Congressman has since resigned abruptly...Bye! Bye! Mr. American Pie...for his public indiscretion...and all he wanted was a sliver of Me Time in the Les MiserablesCity - Capital of the Universe.
Speaking of Republicans...they had their little powwow...meeting...comedy showcase this past week in Les Miserables City...Conservative Political Action Congress or CPAC...the politicians and attendees were playing standup...taking potshots at the current Commander-In-Defeat...Prez Dude...a wonderful free-for-all...starringDonald Trump; Tim Pawlenty;Ann Coulter; Mitt Romney; Newt Gingrich(http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/politics/2011/02/12/bts.cpac.anti.obama.cnn).
There was even a faux Sarah Palinmirage...(http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/02/11/palin-look-a-like-sets-cpac-abuzz/)...Patti Lyons considers herself - "The world's premier Sarah Palin impressionist." And her presence worked...she knows how to work a room...she was stalked by reporters; TV cameras; and some attendees who thought that she was the genuine-one-and-only-non-trademarked-Sarah.
Speaking of The Sarah, the real-deal one that is...well she turned 47 on February 11. Happy Birthday Sarah - Aquarius Lady...Queen of her own universe.
Moving right along...a lot of folks aren't too pleased about how the current Big-Spender-In-Chiefhas been mishandling the little Egyptian Crisis...why I heard loud whispers echoed throughout the land like...amateurish...incoherent...even Senator Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) ripped the regime and spoke about an Islamic Takeover...
But --- No matter which way you cut-dice-splice any of this political brouhaha and rhetoric... this ongoing never-ending story of injustices...the greatest live melodrama on the planet...the bottom line question remains - Who can beat the current Commander-In-Chief? At the CPAC meeting this past week, they conducted an unofficial/official Straw Poll. It's their version of a political Chorus Line cattle call for potential presidential contenders. And the winner is - Ron Paul; followed by Mitt Romney; and then Gary Johnson andChrisChristie...and so on down the line. That's it folks...the top four maybes. You say what???
Personally I like what my friend Frankie's analogy is...a retired military officer..."Even if they put a monkey up there they would probably do better than either political party - Republican or Democrat"...and so the dogs bark and the caravan moves on...the EgyptianMelodrama is settled...for but a fleeting moment in time...and the shirtless Les Miserables Washington D.C. She declared that the U.S. was leaning to - "a road to ruin...a nation beleaguered by debt and out-of-control-government-spending...and that an urgent change was needed in D.C." Gosh, if Egypt can do it, so can we, ya' think?
Since Sarahis so brilliant at shaking her money maker for the Republicans and herself, I do believe that Sarah needs to give talks to women on equal pay for equal work. A study shows that new girl doctors are getting the short end of the stethoscope in the economics of medicine...the study was done at the University of Illinois at Chicago...apparently they looked at 8000 new doctors in New York State. In 1999, women doctors were making $151,600 compared to $173,400 for men. By 2008, the gals were making $174,000 compared to $209,300 for the guy doctors. Yes sirree, pay disparity and sexism isalive and thriving in America...I Am Searching for Intelligent Life in theUniverse...SomewhereOver theRainbow...
