Mid-Year Dysfunctional Politics & Sex Scandal Review...

Well folks, it is quite obvious that we are deep in the midst of 2011. Is America better or worse this year with all of this change? Economically that is? Like any other question, it depends on who you ask. For the politicians...let's just say, they're still in business. Exactly what kind of business...I don't know, my crystal ball turns fuzzy with that one. For John & Susie Q. Public....let's just say that I don't hear echoing accolades of thunderous applause coming down from the mountaintops of approval for that inquiry...
The mainstream priorities seem to be economic growth; jobs; and why oh why are we in all of these costly wars all over the planet? And we're not even talking about gas prices, stagflation, and health care overhaul. Phew! I am exhausted with all of these unsolved dilemmas still remaining on the cutting room floor.
The political talking head pundits are busy ankle-biting and bullying each other. The Republican Party really but really needs to get their Chorus Line Auditions in some type of order...we all are really dying to know who is that Republican Star to Be Born ??? And that my friends - is the $15 Trillion dollar question. Who - but - Who - can beat the Current-Big-Spender-In-Chief? That is the bottom line.
But enough about these Political Cyborgs and Aliens in office...at least some of their sex scandals have been lukewarm in entertainment value since the beginning of the year...but quite frankly - The Charlie and The Donald - Trump them all.
The little tawdry sex scandals started about February'ish this year. Let's see, it was kind of kicked off by Rep. Chris Lee of NY who was caught flexing his biceps on Craigslist...followed by Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi of Italy who allegedly had relations with an exotic underage dancer from Morocco - Ruby; The Arnold, former Guv of California who was outed as having a secret love child; and of course don't forget The Weiner from NY who apparently had a fetish for sexting and Twittering in his briefs...and I won't even touch Dominique Strauss-Kahn, former IMF Prez...that drama is still in it's unfolding phase...
But what I truly and sincerely miss is The Charlie as in the Charlie Sheen Madness and The Donald...all of their brilliant tirades...true entrepreneurs of this great country of ours...madmen do make the money, don't they?
Everything else is just kind of filler or is it fodder? Whatever! I wish that I could sense some type of definitive direction this country is taking besides anger and dismay...it will all work itself out...all work out...I'll just be a Pollyanna - she thrived amidst all of this mayhem and madness...someway - somehow - it always works out the way it is supposed to in the divine chaos or is it order of the Universe?
I think it is time to declare July as our Financial Liberation Month! Three cheers for the Red, White and Blue! Or is it $$$Green$$$? Whatever! Ta Ta!
