Well, not unless you are a complete idiot, recluse or possibly even both, the Big News du jour is the Egyptian Uprisings. Off with the Old and On with the New! Mubarek of Egypt conceded this past Saturday his 30 year dictatorial post. Could it possibly all those folks in Tahrir Square demanding dignity and freedom for all??? Ya' think? Ya' think that all this rioting, screaming and anger kind of gently let him know that his services were no longer needed??? Now, the next big question is - when will he say Adios? And who will be his successor? All of this Jewel of the Nile justification is the current reason why food and oil will skyrocket throughout the planet. Hang on to your wallets folks! Politicks has now reached into your back pocket - once again!

Former U.S. Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright says - "My personal opinion is that the Mubarek Era is over...and the U.S. can't micromanage them." Ya' think? Madeleine? We've got enough on our plates as it is...you know Us - We - the good ole US of A? We've got to handle stuff like repealing the unconstitutional health care disaster law; the leaky border down South; illegal immigration; social insecurity; Medicare; Medicaid; the 2012 elections...and as The Sarah alluded to in a 2008 V.P. ad - "that Egypt is the White House's 0300 AM phone call but it's going straight to the answering machine." Another case of we think that we can solve the world's problems but we can't fix our own. Heal thyself U.S. of A. Heal Thyself!

Speaking of The Sarah and her daughter Bristol...apparently Sarah has filed to Trademark and Patent...(http://theweek.com/article/index/211863/only-in-america-can-sarah-palin-trademark-her-name) Sarah Palin & Bristol Palin. From the last I heard...it's all just pending...this just in...no she can't...this ad brought to you by Swiffer...we need more than that to get all those dust mites off of hard surfaces...anyway, a bunch of bored Alaskans leaked to one of the tabloids (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/28/sarah-palin-todd-palin-affair_n_815387.html) that Sarah's hunk hubby Todd was hanging with Anchorage's finest prostitutes....of course Sarah cuts that to shreds with one of her Palinesque no-nonsense-get-out-of-my-face-style refudiations to that patdown - "It's all a Big Lie and a waste of time. Heck, all they had to do is ask me or ask Todd himself - 'Hey Todd, are you hanging out with hookers in Anchorage?' and he'd tell the truth." Stand by your man - Sarah. That is what a good Republican wife does - doesn't she?

Comic Tracy Morgan, formerly of the Saturday Night Live Troupe loves The Sarah. Apparently at a SAG Awards he shared his deepest, most innermost feelings about how he felt about her. He thinks that Moma Grizzly herself is one hot Moma (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/01/31/tracy-morgan-sarah-palin-_1_n_816174.html) Of course he got his knuckles cracked with a yardstick from the broadcast powers that be for that one. What? Censoring comics? The last bastion of truth in the Stupid-Bowl of Politicks...what is this politically incorrect country coming to?

Moving along, it is true. Dead President's Never Die. We keep on celebrating their birthdays...and this past Sunday would have been Ronald Reagan's Centennial Birthday or 100th. (http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2011/02/the-reagan-centennial-celebrat.html) Radio Broadcaster - Actor - Governor of California - 40th U.S. President. I love it! Sarah gave a talk at the Reagan Ranch in Santa Barbara, Ca. this past Friday to commemorate - The Gipper. Sounds like a gourmet fish. She declared that the U.S. was leaning to - "a road to ruin...a nation beleaguered by debt and out-of-control-government-spending...and that an urgent change was needed in D.C." Gosh, if Egypt can do it, so can we, ya' think?

Since Sarah is so brilliant at shaking her money maker for the Republicans and herself, I do believe that Sarah needs to give talks to women on equal pay for equal work. A study shows that new girl doctors are getting the short end of the stethoscope in the economics of medicine...the study was done at the University of Illinois at Chicago...apparently they looked at 8000 new doctors in New York State. In 1999, women doctors were making $151,600 compared to $173,400 for men. By 2008, the gals were making $174,000 compared to $209,300 for the guy doctors. Yes sirree, pay disparity and sexism is alive and thriving in America...I Am Searching for Intelligent Life in the Universe...Somewhere Over the Rainbow...

I watched the ceremonial swearing in process this past Wednesday of the New Senate & Congress...I swear I was transported into a dimension of "Godliness"...the inter/intra/non-denominational service felt like a High-Magic-Mass of the highest ideals and perfections of humankind...the light blue and bright red ties all glistened like jewels to the camera...with a hint of one shiny green tie...all participants dressed in their Sunday best courting their best manners...it felt all so surreal...indeed this was a Holy Order of sorts... A Holy Order in the High Courts of this Fair Land...

Harry Reid (D) Nevada is Senate Majority Leader. The Nancy - Nancy Pelosi (D) former Speaker of the House...gave a long-winded oration of all the accomplishments of the Democratic House before she handed John Boehner (R) the new Speaker of the House, The Gavel...actually it reminded me of a Sludgehammer...it was so big. I kept on saying to the TV..."Nancy, it's over. Give it up! Hand it over! It's done! Fini! Hand over the gavel for goodness sake"...it kind of reminded me of a kid who was willing or not willing to share their taffy...a comical spoof...but finally...she did give it up.

So now John is in and Nancy is out. I think that John did very well in holding back his tears of joy of his emotional heart...he is truly a son of what this country was and is built on...backbone-grit-will & determination...a working class hero who climbed to the top of his ladder...for now...had a series of odd jobs...bartending...waiting tables...construction...night school. He had a vision...and the courage to go forward for that ideal in his mind's eye...it is truly touching...moving...it stands for everything that is right about this country. When John said; "I do," when being sworn in, I felt like he just got married to his commitment of listening to the folks of the U.S. of A....we shall see...time will tell.

Notable quips heard on the air and in the air this week - Harry Reid (D) Senate Majority Leader..."The Tea Party will disappear as soon as the economy gets better and the economy is getting better all the time." A Woman Caller on one of the conservative talk shows called in and said..."It's easy to be liberal - you don't have to know anything." Regina Benjamin - Surgeon General talked about Disco Dancing -"That exercise is medicine...it's better than most pills."

Donald Trump...AKA "The Donald" who apparently is leaning Republican or is Republican said in an interview on John King USA (CNN) - according to the political rumour board he is "seriously considering the possibility of running for Prez...that he is seriously concerned that other countries are taking advantage of the U.S. of A. ...particularly S. Korea, China and OPEC." All I know if "The Donald" does make a decision on whether or not to run, he is definitely in it to win it.

Tim Pawlenty (R), the former ex-gov of Minnesota, is still undecided about whether to throw his hat in the Prez ring for 2012. He's the guy who wanted to open the Kenny Chesney MargaritaVille Bar in Florida...anyway...he says -"Well, it's a free country...anyone can run for President that's over the age of 35." It's all so political, isn't it Tim? It's all about approval ratings...

Speaking about approval/disapproval ratings...it seems that Big Apple Mayor, Mike Bloomberg (I) had only a 37% approval rating after New York's last snow storm...I guess that indicates that he is not shovel ready for handling blizzards...well, let's see if and how he can dig himself out of that one...the public has a short attention span and is always so forgiving...

Navy Captain Owens of the U.S.S. Enterprise didn't get too many laughs from his superiors from his comedy videos packed with four letter words and gay slurs...and apparently it is somewhat vague about whether Sarah Palin and her Twittering whether or not she is pro-gay or not...so what? What does it really matter anyway? We are still all members of one race...the human race...so what is the Big Deal in the grand scheme of things???

Speaking of Twittering...apparently the U.S. is now subpoenaing Twitter account info from WikiLeaks founder - Julian Assange and supporters of his group. PFC Bradley Manning - U.S. Intelligence Analyst; Birgitta Jonsdittir - member of Icelandic Parliament; Rop Gonggrijp - a known Dutch computer hacker and Jacob Appelbaum - a U.S. programmer. It is still somewhat unclear whether all are related in some way, shape or form and/or whether subpoenas were also issued to Facebook and Google...stay tuned.

This coming Wednesday is the big hoedown-showdown with the repeal of ObamaCare...back to politicks as usual...a lot has happened the very first business/political week of January 2011...and my deeply heartfelt condolences to Gabrielle Giffords (D), and all of the victims of the January 8th massacre in Tucson, Arizona...my prayers to all...unfortunately a sad reflection of the deep healing that is needed to occur in our fragmented society...a moment of silence to all...tolerance is needed and must be heeded.

So we shall see what unwinds as the second week of the New Year begins...the dogs bark and the caravan moves on...we are Dancing to a New Political Strategerie and My Deepest Heartfelt Condolences...

Well, last week in the 'ze world of politicks as usual centered on our current Big-Spender-In-Chief globetrotting rustling up business for the US of A....we'll see if it makes a dent on the home front...zzzzzzzzzz....

Meanwhile, back in Alaska, there's a Texas-Hold-Em-Draw & Count...they don't have a defined, declared winner in the Senate race...is it Tea Party Candidate Joe Miller or incumbent Lisa Murkowski...I hope I spelled her name right...she was a write-in candidate...both insist that they won...she is not giving up her throne until the last ballot is counted...tit-for-tat...Alaska is still trying to figure out what intention vs. a real vote is...for all of the folks that couldn't spell her name right...apparently the name has to be spelled exactly like it is on the election registry...we shall see...we shall see...so they remain in character posturing and sucker-punching each other...if Mississippi lent her New Jersey - what would Delaware - I don't know I'll Alaska...

An old sex scandal resurfaced as a deep healing...revelation of sorts...for (R) Governor Mark Sanford (S.C.) & his affair with Don't Cry for Me Argentina - Maria Belan Chapur...she was his soul mate...he begged the public for their forgiveness & he got it. 70% of the folks thought he was a good gov...but it did cost him his marriage...now he's on a deep inner journey...is Maria still part of that journey??? Well...now he is a free man...true lovers will always find a way to be with each other if it is meant to be...his term is up after the New Year...so what he does now is whatever he does...

A gal named Lawless out of American University says -"There is something fundamentally wrong with a political system that elects such a small number of women when women constitutes such a majority of the population." Ya' think??? That's what I've been saying all along. Look at how the media-o-cracy crucifies the political women...Hilary; Meg; Sarah; Christine...I definitely want to see more women up there...it's about time...they can't bungle anything worse than what they guys have...sexism is alive and well in America...and yes, we gals have the power to alter politics simply because we outnumber the male population...so what's the problem?

So the Democratic Party is still a House Undecided & Divided on what to do with "The Nancy"...Nancy Pelosi that is...should they throw Nancy from the train...is she an asset...or is she herstory??? And on the Republican side, they think that Michael Steele needs to go...you know the guy who went around the US of A in the Fire Pelosi Bus...so it doesn't matter...'Dem Dems or Republicans...they are all in a flux...infighting and backbiting...you know...politicks as usual. And don't forget the meeting of the minds this week with all of the powers that be...in D.C....those still in...those going out...and all the new kids on the block...and their Lame Duck sessions....

The pollsters are already geared for 2012...who will beat the current Dude in the White House...Romney - Huckabee - Sarah??? Apparently it's leaning to the guy candidates...folks want to know whether Obama is re-electable? And is Hilary waiting in the wings???

Meanwhile, folks got stranded on a Carnival Cruise Line...they did serve them free drinks and airlifted Spam to them...did they all actually see a missile being launched off the coast of Southern California in their alcoholic hallucinations??? Or was it a mirage? Or am I getting my headlines mixed up???

Insightful quips heard on the air & in the air this past week were - Politicks is not pretty...there is no civility to politics...no one takes politics seriously...I must say that all this is true...how can we the little people take any of them seriously...watching all of these educated scholars resort to name-calling; accusations of all sorts; heresay and gossip. I heard this one older gal say that the only thing the government is good for is "collecting taxes and delivering the mail."

So we shall see what unfolds this week with this changing of the guard...Lame Duck Sit-Down Dinner-a-la-Food-Fight...in the meantime take the Zen approach to life - Just don't do something...stand there! And let them eat Spam!!!

Well 'ze big day in politicks as not usual is over...for the moment that is...a battle of sorts has been won...but...it is definitely not over. President Dude admits he got "shellacked." Hey Mr. Prez, we all make mistakes. According to Webster Dictionary - (slang) - "A shellacking" means a whipping; flogging; beating...a thorough defeat." What an interesting choice of words from our current Dude-In-Defeat...why he's so upset that he jetted off to the exotic Far East to drum up business for the U.S. of A...do I hear rumours of outsourcing...whaaaat???

Some sources say that his whole pomp & circumstance-escapade-rendezvous-kiss-kiss-circus cost the taxpayer $2 Billion dollars...for a ten day excursion...that comes to $200 million a day...to bring 2000-3000 of his closet pals for the ride...Ca Ching!...and interestingly enough according to the Webster Dictionary - "a dude is a man too much concerned with his own manners and appearance; a dandy; a fop (a foolish person)...and/or a city person; a tourist." Of course the exorbitant cost of what it is costing for the adventure/business trip was officially denied by a White House spokesperson - dare I say - then it must be true? Someone once said it's only heresay until officially denied...ah the truth comes out.

Anyway, all the winners and losers are having a Big Bash on November 18th to meet with each other...oldies and newbies...I would love for them all to have an ole fashioned food fight...they will be serving Lame Ducks.

I must agree with Hilary Clinton when she says - "I don't believe half of what I read." Every time there is something reported...it seems to me...somewhere...somehow...it is then officially denied. Yes we do specialize in misinformation, don't we?

I am genuinely happy for all those that won...sorry for those who didn't...maybe we the little people who put them up there will rally around and have them totally accountable for all that they do and don't do...they can all wear ankle bracelets with an alarm to monitor their second by second activity.

Ex-Prez, George W. Bush has finally come out of the woodwork to promote his new book and tell the world that he is "done with politicks." For the first time, I actually believe a politician...he has had his fill of living nano-second by nano-second under a global microscope...he is over and out...done...fini...back to the ranch...Adios Amigos.

The Republican Chick Superstars that were ousted were Meg and Carly in California; Sharron in Nevada; Christine in Delaware. And we cannot forget Nancy Pelosi who no longer will be Speaker of the House...now she wants to be a minority leader...everybody loves Nancy, don't they?

So I see the real question will be what will be done with health care reform? What are the Republicans going to do to fix the economy...besides less government spending and less government??? And don't forget all those niggling little wars we're in...that we want to get out of...and who...who-who-who...will be the front runners for the Presidential Election for 2012??? Will Sarah Palin be running although she firmly denies it? Will Hilary be running although she firmly denies it...personally I want it to be the Year of the Woman for Politicks...we shall see...we shall see...what we are seeing is that 'Dem Dems have 187 in the House and the Republicans have 239...and 9 are Undecided...and in the Senate we have 'Dem Dems with 53 and Republicans at 46 with One Undecided...and in the governor races...we have 29 Republicans and 16 Dems for all the states that had elections...

I guess we the ignorant-minion-peon-masses have spoken...the Prez of the Free World got his wish...is this the change that you envisioned...Mr. President??? In the meantime...American people...drink lots of water - exercise - watch your diet - laugh a lot - and if not in a committed monogamous relationship...practice safe sex...learn to keep yourself healthy on an ongoing basis...Don't Worry Be Happy... it's all good...that is the best free health care reform that anyone can ever gift themselves with...

So the world continues to churn for the young; the old; the restless and the brave...when all is said and done...will there be more said than done???
